Glass Canning Jars

Canning Jars have been used for years by mushroom growers to hold a variety of substrates. We offer durable and reusable canning jars. These glass jars can withstand steaming and pressure cooking over and over again which will ensure years of use. Each case includes metal lids and rings. Or if you’d like, try some plastic canning jar lids. They are easy to clean, dishwasher safe and they don’t rust!

If you’re working with non-grain substrates, look at our water bath/canning pots. They work great with these jars!

Please be sure to check out our synthetic filter discs that fit precisely over the jar’s mouth. The combination of filter discs and the jars are sure to give your substrate a fresh, clean and effortless gas exchange.

Looking for half pint wide mouth, straight walled jars?   Check out our 1/2 pint plastic jars with lids.  They come with a plastic lid and are less expensive to ship than glass!

Regular Mouth Canning Jar, 1/2 Pint
A case of 12 jars includes 2-piece caps.
Mouth size 2-3/4″ diameter x 4″ high
A half pint equals 1 cup or 8 fluid ounces.

Wide Mouth Canning Jar, 1 Pint
A case of 12 jars includes 2-piece caps.
Mouth size is 3-1/8″ diameter x 4-1/2″ high
1 pint equals 2 cups or 16 fluid ounces.

Wide Mouth Canning Jar, 1 Quart
A case of 12 jars includes 2-piece caps.
Mouth size is 3-1/8″ diameter x 7″ high.
1 quart equals 2 pints or 4 cups or 32 fluid ounces.

Wide Mouth Canning Jar, 1/2 Gallon
A case of 6 jars includes 2-piece caps.
Mouth size is 3-1/8″ diameter. 9-1/4″ height.
1/2 gallon equals 2 quarts or 4 pints or 8 cups or 64 fluid ounces.
